Christ Arts and Science College was established in 2008 by the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore in Kilachery Village, Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, South India to promote higher education among the rural poor.
The Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore has a history of over 500 years, of offering spiritual services, social welfare and education to the poor and needy in Chennai city and the neighbouring districts of Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram.
Christ College is a self-financing co-educational, Christian Minority Institution, approved by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to the University of Madras.

Our college offers at present six bachelor courses and three master courses .A bachelor’s degree is typically a three-year degree program that is earned at the UG level, while a master’s degree is a graduate-level degree that usually takes two years.
