One of the prestigious event in the College is the Annual Convocation Day. Christ College was proud and glad to have its 4th Annual Convocation Day for the batch 2013-2014, on Saturday the 14th March 2015 at the Christ College Auditorium. The Annual convocation was presided over by Most Rev. Dr. George Anthonysamy, the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, the Chairman of the college. Prof. David Jawahar. Registrar, University of Madras delivered the Convocation Address and awarded the degrees to 169 graduates of 2013-14 batch students and Most Rev. Dr. George Anthonysamy awarded the Gold Medals to the college toppers of the 4 courses. Special thanks t his grace Most Rev. Dr. George Anthonysamy, th Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, the Chairman the college and Prof. David Jawahar. Registra University of Madras for gracing the occasion. Thirumurugan, the Controller of Examinations, University of Madras delivered the Convocation Address and awarded the degrees to 137 graduates of 2014-15 batch students. Most Rev.Dr. George Anthonysamy awarded the Gold Medals and Laptops to the college toppers of the 4 courses. Special thanks are to his grace Most Rev. Dr. George Anthonysamy, the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore,& the Chairman of the Christ College and Dr.5. Thirumurugan, Controller of Examinations, University of Madras for gracing the occasion. The Annual Convocation was Presided over by Rev. Dr. S.J. Anthony Samy, Vicar General, the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore, and the Vice – Chairman of the Christ College. Rev. Dr. Gnana Patrick, HoD the Department of Christian Studies, University of Madras and University Representative of Christ Arts & Science College, was the Guest of honor Rev. Fr. Dr. Xavier Alphonse. S. J. – Coordinator, Jesuit Higher Education Commission, Madurai Province, Former Principal Loyola College Chennai, Former Member of University Grants Commission, New Delhi, was the Chief Guest and delivered Convocation address and awarded the degrees to graduates of 2015-16 batch students.
Christ College of Arts and Science, Kilachery has conducted the 8th convocation for Bachelor’s Degree holders on 9th of March 2018. The function began by 2:30pm in the college auditorium. The most Rev. Fr. Dr. George Anthonysamy, the Arch-Bishop of Madras-Mylapore and the chairman of our college was the President of the function and Professor Dr.P.Jagadeesan, Former Vice Chancellor of Bharathidasan University, Trichy, was the Chief Guest, who delivered the convocation address and awarded the Degrees to the students. Nearly 150 students have received the Degrees in various Departments.
Most.Rev.Dr.George Anthonysamy, Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore, Rev. Dr. Andrew Francis SJ, Former Principal. Loyola College, Chennai were the Chief Guests for the 9th Convocation. Dr A L Anthony Sebastian, Principal read out the achievements of the College, Students and Staff. Rev Dr Andrew Francis gave the convocation address and Archbishop felicitated the Graduands and Parents on the occassion. The passed out 252 students of 2018-19 batch were awarded with their Degrees in various Departments. This was a solemn function, conducted with decorum, under the guidelines of the University of Madras. Parents, Graduands, present Final Years, Staff and the Management members participated and appreciated the manner with which the convocation was conducted.
